GLORY 2008
'Music has power and it can be used for good or for evil,' says an American psychologist. Considering that today, youth are constantly 'plugged in' we need to offer an alternative.
Last year, in association with Archdiocesan Family Commission and others, Joyful Noise - a ministry dedicated to promoting good music - organized India's first Gospel Music Talent Contest, 'Glory 2007.' The contest was meant to encourage singers and musicians to use their talents to glorify God. It proved to be a resounding success with 180 contestants across various categories.
Encouraged by last year's response, Joyful Noise is planning to organize 'Glory 2008' on a bigger scale. It is being opened to participants from Pune, Goa and Bangalore. The Eliminations will be on 26th October at St. Joseph's Convent, Bandra. The Finals will be on 1st November at St. Andrew's Auditorium, Bandra. Winners will glorify God at a 'Festival of Christian Music' on 17th & 18th January 2009 at St. Pius X College grounds, Goregaon.
