Bishop Bosco Penha will be celebrating the 9:30 a.m. Eucharist followed by a Training Programme jointly with the Parish Pastoral Council members, SCC Animators and Youth Animators to explain the new methodology of the Youth Ministry and how it can be implemented. Attendance of all members is a must. Co-ordinators are requested to handover the names of the members to Fr. Jeffrey at the earliest.

Come Let's Celebrate! The youth from our 6 zones will be putting up a programme this year to commemorate the year of The Word of God. It will be an evening filled with joyful music. There will be 6 presentations based on miracle stories, parables in the form of skit, dance, music & tableau. The programme will be held on Wednesday 3rd September at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Junior College Hall. Bishop Bosco Penha has consented to be the chief guest. It is open to all age groups. Please avail of the Entry passes at the earliest which are available with your animators and co-ordinators.

The 9th Kalina Inter Zonal Football Tournament commences on 7th September. This tournament will be played on Sunday s and Bank holidays. The Sports Committee is also holding tournaments for Boys (under 16) and Girls & Veterans (40 years & above). Those who are interested in participating in any of the above are requested to contact any of the committee members. For those wishing to contribute towards this event, appeal forms are available with Fr. Jeffrey & with the Sports committee members.

Walking Pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra: Community Leaders are request to submit the names of those interested in joining to Fr. Albert at the earliest.

Kalina would be considered for a senior college in future said Oswald Cardinal Gracias, Archbishop of Bombay. He was speaking at a function inaugurating the Kripa Medical Dispensary at Our Lady of Egypt Church, Kalina, Santa Cruz East. He was responding to an appeal made by Shri Kripashanker Singh MLA, to upgrade the existing St. Mary's Junior College into senior college in Kalina. This would greatly benefit the residents of kalian, Vakola, Kurla and those living on the Central Line.

The OLEP Seva Kendra is starting Yoga classes and Fresh Batches of Basic Computer & Basic Hardware in September. Those interested can contact the Kendra office.

There are many poor students in our school. In order to help them we have started Msgr. Marcus Gonsalves Education Fund. If you wish to help a poor student, you may contribute to this Fund in the school office and get a receipt for the same from the Junior College Office.
