Bandra, 'Queen' of the suburbs of Mumbai(Bombay), is adorned with a beautiful church named after a Gentle Maid in heaven, Saint Theresa of Lisieux.

We have been living as a close-knit community, guided by our beloved patroness for the past 60 years, growing together in Sharing, Caring, Serving and Praying for one another.

Announcements for the week

17th August 2008 - Twentieth Sunday of the Year - Justice Sunday



1. Today is Justice Sunday. There will be a special programme on 'Empowerment of Women in the church and society' at St. Pius College, Goregaon from 4.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.

2. The house blessings of all the four zones have been completed. If any house is not blessed, please contact the zonal coordinator or the zonal pastor.

3. Those who have not yet registered their names on the electoral rools and also those wishing to check their names, are requested to do so at the municipal school, 17th Road, Khar from 18th to 25th August.

4. Coming week, we have the months' mind mass of Sabrina Lobo on Saturday and the first death anniversary masses of Lawrence Gomes on Wednesday, Normanl Manuel Bhandu on Thursday. All the masses are at 7.00 p.m.

Holy half hour

Parents are requested to send their children for Holy half hour on first Thursday of every month after the 7:00 p.m. mass.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited on First Friday during the adoration before the 07:00 p.m. mass.

READERS AND CANTORS


Readers and Cantors are requested to check and strictly follow the schedule for each month displayed on the notice boards. You are required to be present at least 10 minutes before the mass that you are assigned to. Those who wish to do the reading for their loved ones months' mind / first death anniversary masses, are requested to intimate the parish office 20 days and 45 days respectively before the due date. Please note that only the appointed parish cantor/choir will be premitted for these masses. -

READERS AND CANTORS


Henceforth, all Readers and Cantors will meet on every second Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 13th August at 7.30 p.m. in the parish office. Attendance is compulsory. Others interested are also welcome.
