The foundation stone of this Jesuit Church was laid on 24th November, 1594. Pius XII raised this Jesuit Church to the rank of a minor Basilica on 20th March, 1948 and it was proclaimed as such on 3rd December, 1948. Read more...

It is called A PILGRIMAGE OF THE HEART.
It is housed in a Historical and beautiful site.
It tells - The story of a man who came to Goa from far away land and is venerated as a great Saint: St. Francis Xavier;
- The story of another great man, Blessed Joseph Vaz, who went from Goa to another far away land, Sri Lanka;
- And more importantly, the story of the person who spoke of love and peace and inspired them both: Jesus Christ.
You will walk with these three persons through the major events of their life. Many arts ( music, painting, architecture, sculpture, film) and many kinds of technology make this Gallery a feast for you and your family.
