In 1970 Rev. Fr. P.T. Arulappa had a dream in which the Blessed Mother asked him to build her a Church in the area. By his efforts a church was built in 1971, and it was blessed and inaugurated in the year 1972.

From then on, it beckons people of all faiths and classes. The favours received by people of different faiths is a powerful witness to the intercession of the Mother of God.

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven, says the Lord; If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever."

On Sunday, June 13, 2004, eighteen of our Parish children received Jesus for the first time. Alan Berkin, Alfred Mario, Gladwin L, Aljeena Alden, Ashwin Raphael, Candida Maria Dasan Ranjith, Caroline Maria Dasan Ranjith, Cynthia Maria S, Cyril Rakesh, Maria Valentina, Neetu Louisa S, Nikhil Gerard R, Prashanth Joseph, Rashmi Infanta P S, Rina Rosalia S, Savio, Sneha Theresa Johny and Steven Lee, had prepared very hard for this big day. Their catechism teachers, Mrs.Celine Chaglani and Mrs.Marina Isaac had worked tirelessly with each of them, preparing them to receive LORD JESUS.

The Mass was concelebrated by our Parish priest, Fr.Bernard Lawrence. Eddie and his choir provided the ideal atmosphere with their spiritual singing. At the end of the Service, the communicants joined together to sing a thanksgiving hymn, "I'm Your Child".
